Photography workshop

1. CANON AND PARTICIPANTS



1.1. This event is run by Canon UK LTD 4 Roundwood Avenue, Stockley Park, Uxbridge, United Kingdom, UB11 1AF (“Canon”).

1.2. All Participants must be aged 18 or over.

1.3. By booking onto this event, all participants are deemed to have agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions unless notified otherwise in writing.

2. PERSONAL DATA



2.1. Any personal data submitted to Canon will be processed by Canon and its agents or associated group companies for the purpose of administering this event. Canon is the Data Controller in respect of such personal data.

2.2. Participants may be contacted by Canon for the purposes of administrating the event.

2.3. Canon Europa N.V., 59 Bovenkerkerweg, 1185 XB, the Netherlands (“CENV”) and 4 Roundwood Avenue, Stockley Park, Uxbridge, United Kingdom, UB11 1AF, are the Data Controller in respect of any personal data supplied by Participants.

3. DISCLAIMER



3.1. This event is being run by Canon (UK) Limited (Canon), of 4 Roundwood Avenue, Stockley Park, Uxbridge, United Kingdom, UB11 1AF.

3.2. Canon reserves the right to change any aspect of the workshop. Canon may cancel or postpone the event upon reasonable notice and in these circumstances Canon will at its option reschedule the event or refund the event cost to the attendee. Canon’s liability shall be limited to the amount of fees payable for the event by the attendee only. Under no circumstances shall Canon be liable for any additional expenditure, loss or damage as a result of such cancellation or postponement.

3.3. Nothing shall limit or exclude Canon’s liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence or fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Under no circumstances shall Canon be liable in tort, contract, misrepresentation or otherwise for loss of profit (whether direct or indirect), loss of goodwill, loss of or impact on business or contracts, loss of business opportunity, loss of anticipated savings or revenue, wasted expenditure, loss of corruption of data or information or any special, indirect or consequential loss.

3.4. Canon shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any nature howsoever caused, sustained by any participant under this event. However, nothing in these Terms shall have the effect of excluding or restricting Canon’s liability for personal injury or death caused by the proven negligence of its employees or contractors.

3.5. In the event of a dispute over interpretation or implementation of the rules on anymatter related to the event, the decision of the Directors of Canon is final.

3.6. If any part of these conditions is found by a court of competent jurisdiction or other competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, then such part shall be severed from the remainder of these conditions, which shall continue to be valid to the fullest extent permitted by law.

3.7. By participating in any workshop, event or any other related content created by Canon or shared by Canon some activities may be strenuous and require a level of fitness, you are agreeing that you are of able body and you have sought out medical advice if you suffer from any diagnosed health condition.

4. RELEASE OF PHOTO & VIDEO RIGHTS



4.1. Canon UK reserve the right to take photographs or videos during the operation of any workshop or part thereof and to use the resulting photography in whole or in part for promotional purposes, including, but not limited to advertising and publicity both in print and electronic media.

4.2. By booking a workshop with Canon UK, participants agree to allow their image to be used in such photography; participants who prefer that their image not be used are asked to notify Canon UK in writing via email prior to the workshop starting.

4.3. We also reserve the right to use in all or in part, any written reviews, testimonials or behind-the-scenes photos you may provide to us in our advertising and publicity both in print and electronic media.

5. LAW AND JURISDICTION



5.1. As you are a participating consumer, laws of your country of residence will apply to this event, and you may be entitled to bring court proceedings in our own language and in your local courts. A local consumer advice organization will be able to advise you on your rights. These Terms do not restrict any statutory rights that may be applicable.
