During the festival’s Pro Week, from 31st August – 5th September, Canon will host an exclusive programme of events to champion visual stories and those creating them, on the ground floor of the Palais des Congrès.

Canon and Visa pour l’Image will officially present the winners of the 2026 Canon Female Photojournalist Grant, and Canon Video Grant - Short Film Documentary. These awards recognise and support outstanding female photojournlaists and emerging filmmakers, reinforcing Canon’s unwavering commitment to supporting the photojournalist community in bringing important stories to life as well as championing diversity and inclusion.
Canon Female Photojournalist Grant
This award recognises and supports an outstanding female photojournalist, championing diverse voices and perspectives in visual storytelling. 2025 winner Marion Péhée exhibits her work at this year’s festival.
Canon Short Film Documentary Video Grant
Now in its 7th year, it supports an emerging filmmaker in producing a short documentary, and Shiho Fukada’s 2025 winning film will be screened at the festival.
