To join Canon Club, You must be aged 18 or over, you must reside in a participating country and you must purchase an eligible Canon product, this includes, but is not limited to: a video camera, camera, printer, lens, projectors, facsimile, personal copiers, scanners, storage devices, binoculars and must include a serial number (“Eligible Products”) and register within 12 months of purchase. This gives you points and enters you into a relevant tier. There are 3 tiers depending on the number of points you gain and the higher your tier, the more benefits that will be made available to you:
i. Tier 1: Keep on exploring – 1-100 points;
ii. Tier 2: Keep on creating 101-350; and
iii. Tier 3: Keep on mastering – 351+ points
You can also gain certain points by engaging with our brand, for example by using the Canon Club Community, a new space for like-minded passionate creatives – where you can explore, engage with others and learn and this is only available to Canon Club members. Please see the community guidelines and also the provisions herein which govern the use and must be adhered to.
1. Canon Club Membership
1.1 Whilst the benefits may vary in each Participating Country, they can include:
- Exclusive content from Ambassadors;
- Community engagement and learning for example via Community;
- Exclusive member access and offers (including offers from selected partners);
- Discount on Maintenance Services and Upgrades Services from Canon Professional Service Centres for products registered in ‘My Products’ in your Canon Account. This benefit cannot be applied to repairs.
- Tutorials and masterclasses from leading photographers, filmmakers and creatives.
1.2 Please note, you must quote your Canon Club membership number when using any of Your benefits, including when booking Maintenance Services and Upgrades Services or redeeming membership offers (where applicable).
1.3 The Services and benefits to which you are entitled are listed in the “Benefits and Offers” area of your Canon account, according to your country and level.
1.4 All benefits are subject to availability and to change and may be withdrawn or altered at any time at the absolute discretion of Canon. Without limitation, We reserve the right to make exclusions or exceptions to the availability of benefits. Local variations to the published membership benefits may also apply. For the avoidance of doubt, offers/any promotions may only be available subject to stock availability and may therefore end prior to the offer/promotion end date where no stock remains.
1.5 No benefit may be claimed retrospectively, i.e. by claiming a benefit that you were entitled to claim but which you did not claim at the time when you were entitled to do so.
2. Eligibility on entry to Canon Club
2.1 You must be aged 18 and over and based in a Participating Country
Your membership account must be registered using your personal email address (which can be used by Canon to communicate with you and for identification purposes). You will be responsible for registering the correct and accurate information for membership communications.
2.2 You must ensure that your Canon Club profile is updated with any changes to Your registered Eligible Canon Product or to personal information.
2.3 You must have purchased a Canon product within 12 months prior to the registration date, this includes, but is not limited to: a video camera, camera, printer, lens, projectors, facsimile, personal copiers, scanners, storage devices, binoculars and must include a serial number (“Eligible Products”). Not all Canon products (including some accessories, merchandise, paper or ink) can be registered and not all can enter you into Tiers, only Canon products with serial numbers can be registered. 2.4 Your Canon Club Membership level can go up and down as you add or remove registered Eligible Product(s). The points gained from Your registered Eligible Product(s) may decrease or no longer qualify for points, should an Eligible Product be superseded or replaced or if it is no longer possible for Canon to service.
2.5 Benefits are personal to you and not transferable. Only the registered Canon Club member may claim benefits under the membership and only in relation to the Eligible Product that is fully registered and legally owned by that member. You may not claim benefits for any other person or any non-registered or partially registered equipment, nor allow any other person to claim benefits on your behalf. A product is deemed to be fully registered when the product name, serial number, country of purchase, date of purchase and store purchased have all been included and the product's points (if applicable) are validated and contributing to your points total.

4. Gaining points and qualifying into the Tiers
You can gain points and qualify into the different tiers by:
4.1 making purchases and registering additional Eligible Products;
4.2 completing your profile; and
4.3 subject to your successful entry into Canon Club (and your meeting of the eligibility criteria herein), you can also register Canon products which you purchased over 12 months ago to gain further points.

5. Cancellation of Your Membership
5.1 You are entitled to disable your Canon Club Membership at any time. You can do so by contacting the us via the online webform here. For Community queries, you can ask in the Community.

6. Materials and User Conduct
6.1 You agree not to publish any posts, comments, images, videos, content or any other creative materials (“Materials”) that are:
• obscene, offensive, abusive, hateful or inflammatory;
• promoting discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age;
• disclose the name, address, telephone, mobile or fax number, e-mail address or any other personal data in respect of any individual;
• infringe any copyright, database right, trade mark or other intellectual property right of any other person;
• breach any legal duty owed to a third party, such as a contractual duty or a duty of confidence;
• be in contempt of court;
• be likely to harass, upset, embarrass, alarm or annoy any other person;
• contain a statement which you know or believe, or have reasonable grounds for believing, that members of the public to whom the statement is, or is to be, published are likely to understand as a direct or indirect encouragement or other inducement to the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism or other crime; or
• contain any advertising or promote any services or web links to other sites not associated or affiliated with Canon
• organising, promoting or facilitating a sale or purchase of any kind including, but not limited to of any item, product, software and/or any service
We have the right to remove any Material where this is the case.
6.2 You must not use the Community:
• for any activity which is unlawful, misleading, malicious or discriminatory;
• to stalk, bully, harass, intimidate, threaten or impersonate any person;
• to conduct any activity which could result in any of aspect the Community becoming disabled, overburdened or which could impair their proper working or appearance such as a denial of service attack or interference with any functionality;
• impersonate any person, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person;
• for any purposes relating to the sale or purchase of any physical or digital product and/or service or
• advocate, promote, and incite any third party to commit, or assist in any unlawful or criminal act.
6.3 We will decide, in Our sole discretion, whether Your Materials or use of the Community platform is in breach of these Terms. We are entitled to remove from the Community, or to disable access to, any Materials which We consider to breach these Terms, breach applicable law or infringe a third party’s rights. If you repeatedly infringe any third party’s rights or breach applicable law or these Terms, We may disable or cancel your account. We will not be responsible for any Materials that you lose as a result of Canon disabling or cancelling your account in accordance with this paragraph.
6.4 You agree not to post any images, videos or content including children (anyone under the age of 18).
6.5 When uploading images please consider “did the person in the photo have a reasonable expectation of privacy”?
6.6 We are not held responsible or liable for images you upload if you are featuring identifiable people without their consent.
6.7 If We receive a complaint the image/video/content will be removed and Your details shared with them in the event they wish to take court action.
6.8 We reserve the right to remove any Materials from the Community where it reasonably suspects that such Material is prohibited by this section and your access to the Canon Community will be permanently revoked by Us.
6.9 Any content you upload or submit is at your own risk. Community will also include support discussions and recommendations between members and Canon shall not be responsible for any user generated content, such as posts or recommendations made by members. You follow these at your own risk and if you need Canon support or advice, please contact your local support via the online webform.
6.10 Any Materials You upload should not feature promotion of your/any business and/or any brands. We have the right to remove any Materials where this is the case.
6.11 We have the right to remove, edit, manage, duplicate and copy any Materials that are published in the Community.
7. Proprietary Needs
7.1 By posting any content to Canon Club Community, You are indicating that Your submission is voluntary and that You are the sole owner of the content.
7.2 Without prejudice to section 6.11, where we wish to use your submission for the purposes of commercial exploitation, we shall ask for Your permission. Where such permission is given, You will give us unrestricted, royalty-free, perpetual rights to publish, use publicly perform such content or any idea contained therein, or any portion thereof, in any way, in any and all media now known or hereafter developed without territorial time or other limitation without consideration to you.
7.3 Subject to the above section 7.2, by posting any Materials to the Community, you are granting us permission to use your Materials for the gallery on the Customer homepage.
7.4 Please note, you upload content and images at your own risk and acknowledge that as with any forum, any content you post will be made available publicly and in different territories and Canon shall not be responsible or liable for any matters that arise out of the use of Your content or images.
8. Downloading Images Uploaded by Members
In accordance with the aforementioned clause 7.3, members acknowledge that they are uploading content/images publicly and at their own risk. We would request however, that You do not download/use any images and/or content uploaded by other members, unless they have permitted for You to do so.
9. Moderator Role
10.1 For any submission for entry into challenges these must be Your original Materials and not copied from anywhere else or any other person’s work.
10.2 Only individuals 18 years and over can enter challenges that are shown on the Community.
10.3 Please note, each challenge will be subject to its own set of terms and conditions.
11. Use of Data
11.1 We would like to make you aware that we will display data relating to the make and model and settings of your camera, should you input these when you upload Your images. Please ensure the data you input is accurate as We display this data as a tool to assist community members to learn and be inspired when trying to create similar images.
11.2 Please verify that the photo was taken on a Canon camera (and preferably a Canon lens) before You post it. If a shot is taken on a Canon camera, but with a third-party lens, please leave out the lens information in your post. We will not share location of image taken, but you are more than welcome to add this yourself.
12.1 You can submit your queries and complaints relating to Your Canon Club Membership or Community to us by contacting the us via the online webform here. For any general Canon Club Membership or Community queries, you can also ask in the Community.
12.3 You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs in relation to Your Canon Club membership or on the Community platform and it is your responsibility to alert us if you become aware of any unauthorised use under your account.
12.5 If any term or condition is not strictly applied or adhered to by Canon at any time, it shall not prevent Canon from choosing to strictly apply that term or condition or any other term or condition at any other time.
12.6 Please note unless otherwise and expressly specified by us, Canon Club membership does not affect nor extend your rights under any Canon Commercial Warranty provided with your product at the time of purchase or your statutory legal rights.
12.8 In addition, Canon reserves the right to disable any membership in its absolute discretion if it suspects theft, fraud or impropriety.
